In December 2017, we moved to a new location in Sokode. We acquired a property last fall with 3 attached small housing units. This has become the new site for our clinic called “Maison Bethesda”. The property had been left in need of repairs, but we will endeavour the repairs and construction as the financial resources become available.
At the moment we are occupying one unit of the house to do wound care treatments. We are caring for an average of 20 patients with chronic wounds twice weekly. Another unit has been converted into sleeping quarter for the femelle patients and the male patients are occupying the small storage concrete building as shelters. Not all patients are being housed at Bethesda. Only the patients that are residing too far away from the clinic. Others are staying with friends or relatives in Sokode. We don’t have yet plumbing but we got access to village water. Latrines are temporary showers are built presently built on the property.
The roof will soon be replaced with used metal sheeting. Money has been donated for us to redo the roof before the rainy season.
We are extremely thankful to all of you who are helping us with donations to repair this complex. Without financial assistance from you, we will not be able to sustain the cost of the repairs and maintain the weekly cost of the clinic.
Thank you for your interest in medical/wound care mission and for your desire to equip us to do the ministry.
